About LjusTeknik

LjusTeknik is a company that was founded in 1994 by Marco Roukala, but it has older roots. In the 1970s, Marco began selling lighting for homes and in the 1990s, he formed the company LjusTeknik. The business initially focused on lighting and interior design for stores, as the new light source halogen with reflector was becoming popular and stores and museums liked the more intense light. One of the company's early products, the Artic65, is still a common museum spotlight in Sweden today.

Over the years, LjusTeknik has also had other side businesses. Marco introduced the BUFF brand to Sweden, which became a hit among motorcyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. However, since 2014, the company has focused solely on lighting for museums and exhibitions.

On September 1, 2017, LjusTeknik changed ownership. After 50 years in the business, Marco felt it was time for retirement, and Mattias Fransson, who had been active in the company for a few years, took over ownership and management. Marco remains as a consultant, providing the company with over 50 years of experience in lighting and lighting fixtures.
